Race to the Top Program Monitoring

The Race to the Top program is built on the framework of comprehensive reform in four core education reform areas: standards and assessments that prepare students for success in college and the workplace; recruiting, developing, retaining, and rewarding effective teachers and principals; building data systems; and turning around the lowest-performing schools. Westat created a comprehensive website that creatively displays all the state-reported APR data and it also shows comparison to NAEP data in the student outcomes section. The site, developed in Drupal, has over 100,000 data points that are displayed in an interactive manner.
