National Cancer Institute’s Behavioral Research Program
NCI-BRP
Westat assists the National Cancer Institute’s Behavioral Research Program as a central service center, providing conference support and consistently branded materials for a range of research and outreach activities.
The Behavioral Research Program (BRP) in NCI’s Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences supports behavioral science research in areas such as health promotion, cancer screening, and reduction in tobacco use. Westat provides scientific and technical support in communications research, database development and management, conference design and planning, design of dissemination plans, and portfolio analysis. Westat’s role also includes coordination of large BRP-funded research centers by facilitating communication among centers, reviewing project content and methodology, archiving and disseminating information developed by the centers, and evaluating the centers’ activities.
