NAEP State Service Center

Since 1969, Westat has supported the National Assessment of Educational Progress through State Coordinators and more than 6,500 field staff. Westat develops the field training materials and as the NAEP State Service Center, conducts in-person orientations, workshops, web seminars, and web-based meetings on a weekly basis, as well as coordinates travel.
Teacher-to-Teacher
U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
The U.S. Department of Education created the Teacher-to-Teacher Initiative (T2T) in 2004 to support teachers in meeting the teacher quality provisions of No Child Left Behind. The project required identifying the needs of and supporting teachers to strengthen their content expertise.

SAMHSA
Westat designed and developed SAMHSA's award-winning Permanent Supportive Housing tool kit, which is available on their website to download, or to order hard copies. It won the Best of Show award at the Society of Technical Communication's (STC) international summit competition for “emphasizing important information in an interesting and appealing fashion, with beautifully written text that truly meets audience needs.”
Campus Safety & Security
U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
The U.S. Department of Education's newly revised online tutorial is an audio/visual companion to The Handbook for Campus Safety and Security Reporting. It is designed to be used after reading the handbook to help you apply the HEA safety- and security-related reporting requirements to your institution. Within the training you'll find examples, scenarios, questions and answers, and references to specific parts of the handbook.
Shared Decision Making
SAMHSA
Westat worked with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and Advocates for Human Potential (AHP) to develop the Shared-Decision Making Decision Aid (DA). The DA is an interactive tool, to assist providers and consumers in considering the role of anti‑psychotic medications in one's Recovery Plan.
Teacher Incentive Fund Online Community of Practice

This Community of Practice (CoP) website connects the Teacher Incentive Fund (TIF) grantee community. Grantees can share information, tools, and resources in support of their performance-based compensation goals.
